Clemens will be leading our group of dancers down Park Road and we would love to have you with us, wearing any Fred Astaire Dance Studios gear you may have. Help represent your favorite dance studio!
The parade marches for about a half-mile and it takes around 45 minutes. This is a great chance to see all of your dance friends outside the studio and involved in a fun civic tradition.
This will be the 18th annual Park Road Parade and it’s now a tradition in West Hartford. The Park Road Parade is zany, unique, and most of all, a celebration of all that is good in West Hartford and beyond. We want you to be a part of it! Each year the parade draws over 7,000 people to Park Road neighborhood and is televised on West Hartford Community TV. Last year more than 90 contingents marched.
The parade features bands, clowns, dancers, floats, antique cars, dogs, sports mascots, color guards, businesses, civic and cultural organizations and town officials. Anything goes, from simple banners with marchers sporting the identical T-shirt, to elaborate costumes, dance numbers and floats.
