We could not be more proud of our professional couple – Mar Martinez and Clifton Sepulveda – who have been invited to the prestigious Blackpool Festival competition in London, England, to represent the United States and Fred Astaire Dance Studio of West Palm Beach. We’re also doing all we can to help them defray costs with a fundraiser on Friday, April 24 at the studio. Please come out to have a great time and assist our dancers as they carry our banner across the Atlantic Ocean.
Our event starts at 7:45 pm, with a $25 cover charge. We’ll have dance performances, a lip synch contest, lots of raffles and silent auction items. General dancing as well as food and beverages round out a wonderful evening that will help two great professionals who work so hard at dancing and inspire us all.
You can also help Mar and Clifton by donating through their site on GoFundMe at http://www.gofundme.com/rxd6pmf7?fb_action_ids=10153685943744918&fb_action_types=og.shares&fb_ref=undefined

It takes place from May 21-29 at the world famous Empress Ballroom, Winter Gardens. Last year there were 60 countries represented, with a total of 2,950 entries in the 12 events: http://www.blackpooldancefestival.com/index.php?active_menu=17. You’ll understand why it is known as the ‘The World’s First and Foremost Festival of Dancing.’
See on Friday night! You won’t want to miss this great event and the opportunity to help Mar Martinez and Clifton Sepulveda go to Blackpool to represent us and the country.
