Inter-Regional & Regional Dance Competitions
Fred Astaire Dance Studios hosts Inter-Regional and Regional Dance Competitions across the country, to make our Students’ dance experience even more fun and rewarding. Our goal is to provide you with exciting opportunities to hone your dance skills & confidence, spend time with friends old & new, experience inspiring dance performances, have a chance to win amazing trophies & prizes, travel to cities across the country, and have more fun than you could imagine!
Fred Astaire Dance Studios Inter-regionale og regionale dansekonkurrencer er 1-3 dages begivenheder, der arrangeres af Fred Astaire Dance Studios®-regioner over hele landet, og finder typisk sted over en weekend. Regionale dansekonkurrencer er åbne for alle Fred Astaire Dance Studios®-studerende, der danser på steder i den pågældende region, og deres instruktører. Inter-regionale dansekonkurrencer er en nyere kategori: Vi har åbnet nogle af vores bedste regionale dansekonkurrencer for FADS-studerende og -instruktører fra hele landet, så alle kan deltage! Regional and Inter-Regional Dance Competitions are perfect for newer Amateur dancers, more experienced dancers who are new to competing, and everyone who loves the thrill of exceptional ballroom dance, and dance performances.
- One-to-three day duration makes for an easy time-commitment
- Smaller scale / fewer entries than National events, so you can focus on having fun

- Friends & family are welcome to attend and spectator tickets are available.
- Regional events are “easy travel”, usually within driving distance
- Inter-Regional events offer the same dance experience, with opportunities to travel to venues across the country.
- Some Regionals and Inter-Regionals are VM -serien qualifying events – Students interested in competing more frequently earn points to win great prizes, trophies and scholarships to an upcoming National.

Fred Astaire Dance Studios offers many opportunities for students to participate in dance competitions, but competing (or even attending as a spectator) is never a requirement. While some students may choose to stay close to the community and camaraderie of their local studio, we find that most Amateur dancers truly enjoy the spirit and energy of our competitions, and look forward to them again and again!
