We came to Yieva as 100 percent novices, absolutely no dance experience, and worse, I (Adam) not able to hear a beat in music, so we clearly had a lot to learn before our wedding. From the very beginning, Yieva was incredibly patient, encouraging, and thoughtful in the way she taught us. She incrementally guided us through every step and created a beautiful dance specifically for our wedding that we were so excited to perform.
Yieva was also incredibly attentive to our individual asks and true needs. When she noticed that I, Adam, was struggling to keep up, she took the time to spend a dedicated 80 minutes working with me one on one. That extra time made an enormous difference and gave me the confidence I needed to keep progressing.
We also really appreciated that Yieva emphasized the importance of practicing on our own time. She gave us the tools, guidance, and encouragement we needed to continue improving between lessons, and it truly made the entire experience feel like a partnership.
Most importantly, Yieva made the process fun, comfortable, and rewarding. What initially felt like a daunting challenge became something we genuinely looked forward to. We were extremely happy with both the experience and with Yieva herself.
We cannot recommend Yieva highly enough. She is an incredibly talented instructor, a wonderful teacher, and someone who genuinely cares about her students. We are so grateful she was part of such an important and memorable part of our wedding!

Sommer is by far the best teacher I’ve ever had. She’s so full of energy, joy and enthusiasm from the second you walk in all the way through the class.
She’s hilarious and incredibly talented and so so kind all at the same time. You can really tell she cares deeply about her students. The dance is absolutely fantastic but what really made us comfortable and love it so much was how much Sommer cared about how we were feeling every step of the way. She takes time to explain things, answers any questions and repeats movements as many times as you need (and I needed many!). She truly makes you feel so special and taken care of.
We truly feel so fortunate to have found her. If I had 10 stars I would give them all! Thank you Sommer and the team at Fred Astaire for such an amazing past couple of weeks!
