Alexandra Dane – Studio Owner and Dance Professional

Born in Hungary, Alexandra (Alex) discovered her passion for dance at the age of 7, and by 8, she was already competing on stage. After just one year of dancing, she knew this was her calling and would become the focus of her life. As a 7-time National Champion, Alexandra’s career in dance quickly gained momentum, and she made her mark in the international dance scene, performing at Blackpool, one of the most prestigious dance festivals in the world, over half a dozen times.

At 20, Alex made the bold move to the United States, where her American journey took flight. Alongside her talented dance partner, Mihaly Meszaros, she competed in the Open Latin division at Blackpool in 2014, and the following year, they achieved an impressive 48th place finish in the Rising Star division, among the world’s best. Their journey together has led them to earn multiple National and World Champion titles, solidifying their place as a force in the competitive dance world.

While Alex has enjoyed a successful career as a professional competitor, her true joy lies in teaching and sharing her knowledge with others. In 2014, she began her teaching career at Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Cypress and quickly found her calling. By August 2015, she joined the Fred Astaire Dance Studios Memorial team, where she has flourished as a teacher, mentor, and role model. Alex is driven by the mission to enrich the lives of her students, no matter their level or background, through the transformative power of dance. The variety of students she works with every day, and the opportunity to make a positive impact in their lives, is what truly fuels her passion.

Alexandra Dane’s dedication to both her craft and her students is what sets her apart, and she is excited to continue inspiring and shaping the future of dance for years to come.
