Artur Aleksandrov was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and began ballroom dancing at the age of 4. He successfully competed in the amateur division for 5 years before he relocated to Prague, Czech Republic.
During the next few years he successfully competed all over Europe and earned top awards in International Ballroom and Latin dances. In 2004, he became Czech Republic National Champion in Latin dances and a finalist in European Championship. At age 18, Artur was the assistant of a main coach in one of the largest studios and eventually one of the most recognizable instructors in the country.
In 2011, Artur began dancing with his professional partner and wife Anna Antonyan. Together they won many competitions and European championships. In 2015 Artur and Anna moved to the USA.
Artur has received multiple top awards including Fred Astaire World Championship American Rhythm Bronze Medalist in 2021, and American Smooth National Finalist.
