We offer an exciting opportunity for kids and teens to explore both Social and Competitive Ballroom & Latin Dancing in a fun, structured, and encouraging environment.
Your child will learn popular dances like Waltz, Tango, Quickstep, Cha-Cha, Rumba, and more, guided by highly trained instructors dedicated to helping each student shine. Along the way, they’ll also develop social etiquette, discipline, and confidence that carry into everyday life.

We believe every child learns differently—that’s why we combine:
Private Lessons (1-on-1 instruction)
Your child will work individually with an instructor. This allows us to tailor each lesson to their unique learning style, pace, and goals.

WHAT IS BALLROOM DANCE COMPETITION?
Ballroom dance competitions are exciting, high-energy events where students perform choreographed routines in styles like Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Cha-Cha, Rumba, and more. Dancers are grouped by age and experience level, creating a supportive and encouraging environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed and shine.
Rather than being intimidating, competitions are designed to be fun, motivating, and confidence-building. Students showcase what they’ve learned, receive positive feedback from judges, and celebrate their progress alongside teammates and other young dancers.
At Fred Astaire Dance Studios, students also have the exciting opportunity to grow within a larger dance community. As they progress, they can participate in Regional and Inter-Regional competitions, advance to National events, and even experience the thrill of International competitions—giving them goals to work toward and achievements to be proud of every step of the way.

SHOWCASES
In addition to ballroom competitions, at Fred Astaire Dance Studios we offer Showcases at least twice a year, giving every student the chance to perform and shine.
In-Studio Showcase
A fun, supportive environment where students perform for family, friends, and fellow students—perfect for building confidence and celebrating progress.Theater Showcase
A more elevated performance experience on a real stage, complete with lighting, costumes, and the excitement of a live audience. This gives students the feeling of being true performers and creates unforgettable memories.
These showcases are a wonderful way for students to express themselves, gain performance experience, and feel proud of their hard work—without the pressure of competition.

For students who love creativity and storytelling, Showdance is an exciting division they can explore both in showcases and competitions.
Showdance allows dancers to go beyond traditional ballroom by incorporating:
Unique themes and storytelling
Creative choreography and lifts (when appropriate)
Costumes and character expression
It’s the perfect blend of performance, artistry, and fun, giving kids and teens the freedom to fully express their personality on the dance floor—while still having the opportunity to compete if they choose.
🏅 Our Trophy System: Progress with Purpose
At Fred Astaire Dance Studios, we believe kids thrive when they have clear goals and a path to achieve them. That’s why our Kids & Youth Program is built around our Trophy System—a structured progression similar to what you’d find in other sports.
Students advance through Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels, with each stage introducing new techniques, dances, and skills. This step-by-step approach keeps learning exciting, rewarding, and perfectly paced for each individual dancer.
To ensure every student is truly growing and mastering their skills, we offer Check-Outs (level tests). These evaluations give students the opportunity to demonstrate what they’ve learned, celebrate their progress, and confidently move on to the next level.
