Welcome to the Pennsylvania World Cup Series!

Pennsylvania World Cup Series is Fred Astaire Dance Studio’s rewards program for professionals and amateurs on the dance floor. When you attend a participating regional event, inter-regional event or national event, you receive points for competing. Below are Pennsylvania World Cup Series pages links, where you can track your progress, your professional’s progress, and your friends’ progress.

What is the World Cup Series?

The Fred Astaire Dance Studios Pennsylvania® Pennsylvania World Cup Series gives our competing Amateur & Professional dancers an amazing way to be acknowledged, rewarded and awarded – automatically! When you compete at PennsylvaniaWorld Cup Series qualifying events, you’ll earn points for every entry. Throughout the year, there are over a dozen qualifying dance competitions. You’ll have fun competing with other Amateur & Professional dancers at your level from across the country, and dancing for a chance to win amazing prizes, trophies, swag bags and scholarships to upcoming Fred Astaire Dance Studios® competitions.

What do you need to do?

Absolutely nothing on your end…….dance and have fun at participating Fred Astaire Dance Studio events. The more you dance, the more points you accumulate and the greater your chance to win!

Ask your local studio to provide you with a list of this year’s participating Fred Astaire Pennsylvania Events, then make plans to compete, experience the venues and share good times with your FADS friends and family… earning points all along the way!

How do you Earn Points?

You earn points based on the number of entries you dance AND your placement in those entries. ALL entries count towards your Pennsylvania World Cup Series points. Studio Events and Competitions earn you the MOST points, followed by Regional Events. Each month, the Top 10 Competitors points will be tallied and posted on the leader boards for you to track your own progress, and see where your friends rank.

Students:

  • In-Studio Events: 5 Points awarded per each entry and multiplied by x5 (as the highest value of participation at In-Studio Events)
  • Regional Competitions & Showcases: 5 points per each entry and multiplied by x4
  • Theatrical Regional Showcases: 10 points per solo and multiplied by x2

Award Ceremony:

The Award Ceremony will take place at the last calendar FADS Pennsylvania Regional Event of the Year. The Regional Office is planning to recognize this years Top 10 Students and Top 10 Professionals, based on the ranking positions at the moment of final yearly events. We reserve the right to adjust the number of award recipients as needed.
