Katya has danced many different styles throughout her life, starting at a young age when she was only 4 years old. Ballroom dancing is her biggest passion that brought her to Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Bentonville all the way from Ukraine. Katya moved to the US in 2014 to attend college and she has been living in Bentonville since 2020.
She absolutely loves teaching others to dance and finds personal satisfaction in learning dances around the world. Katya also does not shy away from dance competitions that keep her motivation to improve her own dancing every year.
Outside of the studio, you could find her exploring art museums since she considers herself a big art nerd; or on a rainy day, Katya likes to play the piano at home. If you are a Russian or Ukrainian speaker, she would gladly speak to you in any of those languages to make your dance lessons more enjoyable.
And lastly, a weird fact about Katya is that she has a bachelor’s degree in software engineering and calls computer programming her second passion.
