You’ve signed up for the new student offer — two private lessons, a week of group classes, and a practice party for $79. Here’s exactly what happens, so you can walk in on day one knowing what to expect.
Your First Lesson
Your first lesson is one-on-one with your instructor, and you’ll also get to meet the rest of the team while you’re here. The studio is a shared floor, so there will likely be other couples and students dancing around you as you go. Before your lesson starts, your instructor will take you through a brief consultation and a tour of the studio. Then you’ll get moving — in your first lesson, you’ll be introduced to two or three different dances to get a feel for our teaching method and the range of styles we offer.
Your Second Lesson
The second lesson builds directly on the first. Your instructor already knows how you move, what clicked, and what needs a little more time — so the lesson picks up right where you left off rather than starting over. By the end of this session, your instructor will make a recommendation for a program that fits your goals, whether that’s a wedding dance, a social hobby, a way to connect with your partner, or something else entirely.
Your Week of Group Classes
Once a week, you’re invited to join one of our group classes. It’s a low-pressure setting where you’ll pick up new tips, work on technique alongside other students, and start to get a feel for the broader studio community.
Your Practice Party
Every Thursday evening, we host a social dance party — and your intro offer includes one. This is where everything comes together. You’ll get to practice what you learned in your lessons in a relaxed, social atmosphere and get introduced to the wider Fred Astaire Bronxville community. There’s no performance pressure; it’s simply a great way to see what dancing here actually feels like week to week.
After Your Intro Offer
At the end of your offer, you’ll have a clear sense of our teaching style, our environment, and what continuing would look like. Your instructor will walk you through a recommendation based on what you’ve shown and what you’ve told them — no pressure, just a clear next step if you want one.
