Rising Stars Dance Team and Junior & Senior Companies
Rising Stars Dance Team
Students who are entering 5th and 6th grade in the 2020-2021 school year and have danced ballroom for at least one year are eligible to audition for the Rising Stars Dance Team. Those who qualify for the Dance Team will have many opportunities to perform and compete throughout the year. Members will also have access to additional trainings with ballroom professionals. All members will be required to take 2 dance team classes a week as well as 2 technique classes per week, at Fred Astaire Dance Studios (FADS) Brownsville. There will be a Dance Team fee that will be required for necessary uniform and performance items. More detailed information regarding fees will be discussed at a meeting following the auditions. Auditions will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at FADS Brownsville, 925 W. Price Road, Brownsville, TX 78521, at 1pm.
Junior Ballroom Dance Company
Students who are advanced ballroom dancers in the 7th and 8th grade in the 2020-2021 school are eligible to audition for the Junior Dancing Thru Life Dance Company. Those who qualify for the Company will have many opportunities to perform and compete throughout the year. Members will also have access to additional trainings with ballroom professionals. All members will be required to take 2 dance team classes a week as well as 2 technique classes per week, at Fred Astaire Dance Studios (FADS) Brownsville.
