Based in New York City, Hillary brings a richly diverse and accomplished dance background to her ballroom classes. Her journey began with intensive training in classical ballet, modern dance, contemporary, and contemporary ballet each discipline contributing to her strength, technical clarity, and expressive versatility. She was accepted into the highly competitive Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance with a concentration in Choreography
With several years of performance experience in both ballet and contemporary dance, Hillary developed core skills in posture, musicality, and performance presence. Hillary maintains an active presence in ballet and contemporary dance, and has also embraced ballroom instruction-studying and teaching Latin and Standard styles. Their extensive dance background informs their classes, where a dancer’s awareness of alignment, phrasing, and expressive detail enhances every step.
