Jessa Mae Briones- Owner, Studio Director, Dance Instructor

Jessa Mae Jarina Briones originally hails from Cebu, Philippines. She began dancing in a Grassroots program at the age of 14, whose vision was to give back to the community. She then joined Dancesport Team Cebu City where she developed a background in International Latin and Ballroom. She began her competitive career in 2008 where she became one of the top Youth competitors in her generation both nationally and internationally.

She began competing in the Professional category in the US in 2016 and have since garnered numerous titles, the most prominent of which is obtaining the title of Professional Rising Star American Rhythm Champion and is Nationally recognized as the 2017 United States Professional Rising Star American Rhythm Champion.

Jessa shares the belief that there is more to dance than just the placement of your feet and that the expression of one’s feelings and intentions through the motions of the human form are paramount in what is translated through dance. It is in here ability to inspire her students to be able to dance comfortably and confidently on the dance floor.

In 2021, Jessa opened the Fred Astaire Chelsea Dance Studio as owner and Studio Director.
