Born in Chisinau, Moldova, Vladimir began dancing at the age of 8 and quickly developed a passion that would shape his life. Over the years, he has built an impressive competitive career, winning multiple regional and national dance championships. For over a decade, Vladimir has been a respected member of the Fred Astaire Dance Studios community, recognized not only for his skill on the dance floor but also for his exceptional talent as an instructor.
Vladimir’s teaching excellence has been acknowledged with multiple Top Teacher in New England awards and, most recently, he was named a Top 10 Teacher for 2024 across the entire Fred Astaire organization. His expertise spans Ballroom, Latin and American styles, as well as social dancing, wedding choreography, and children’s classes. His instruction emphasizes technical precision, rhythm and movement, while ensuring every class remains engaging, enjoyable and tailored to students at every level – from beginners discovering dance for the first time to serious competitors refining their craft.
Known for his approachable style and supportive teaching environment, Vladimir encourages students to challenge themselves while enjoying the process. As Managing Director and Instructor at Fred Astaire Dance Studio Darien, he is committed to making the studio a welcoming and vibrant space, where students not only improve their dancing but also connect with the community and feel a true sense of belonging.
