“To dance is to live!” – Isadora Duncan
Anastasiia started ballroom dancing at the age of six in Moscow, choosing a dance studio that became her second home. It was there that her future partner, Ilya Golovanov, also trained. Six years later, their paths on the dance floor came together, marking the beginning of a successful sports career. Together, they have won numerous titles, from city competitions to victories on the world stage, proving that talent, hard work, and dedication to dance lead to the heights of success.
In 2017, already successful athletes, Anastasiia and Ilya Golovanov took a new step in their careers—they opened their own dance studio. It was not just a place for training but a true home for those who dreamed of great victories in the world of ballroom dancing.
In 2020, Anastasiia and Ilya received an invitation from a sports dance studio in Turkey and decided to take on the challenge. After moving there, they not only continued their training but also achieved new victories, further strengthening their reputation in the world of ballroom dancing.
After a successful period in Turkey, their journey led them to the United States in 2022, where they became instructors at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
There, they were able to share their experience with students, inspiring them to reach new heights while continuing to develop their own skills on an international level.
Anastasiia’s favorite part about teaching is seeing their students grow as dancers, strong and confident.
