Anastasiia Kovtunenko began her dance journey at 3 years old, starting with choreography classes that built her foundation in movement. Gymnastics and martial arts strengthened her, but ballroom dance captured her heart. Dance took her across Europe: She trained with world champions, reached the Top 20 in Paris (Under 21) with her dance partner, and danced at the legendary Assen, an experience she’ll always treasure. Most importantly, dance led her to her dream — to the United States, where she became the youngest couple to place 3rd at Nationals and earned multiple top results at regional competitions. She is grateful for this journey and excited for what comes next.
Igor Iosypenko began ballroom dancing at 6, quickly becoming a strong young competitor, winning Assen in the Netherlands and reaching the Blackpool semifinals. Competing in Standard and Latin across Europe built his foundation. He later taught children and adults in Ukraine. He has lived in the U.S. for four years and taught at Fred Astaire for over three, now competing in American Rhythm and helping students grow with confidence and passion.
