Kate Wellemeyer has been sharing her passion for ballroom dancing as an instructor and studio owner with Fred Astaire Dance Studios since 2008. Her career started as an instructor and grew into business ownership, staff and professional development, as well as marketing and business consulting. With over 20 years of experience in teaching and performing, Kate is dedicated to imparting the elegance and sophistication of ballroom dance to all generations. “Seeing students and teachers grow emotionally, physically and mentally from the positive effect of dance, has been such a blessing to me. It has in turn motivated me to be a blessing to others. Mentoring people to come out of their comfort zone to work hard and learn something new is what drives my passion to teach and continue to learn. It is my pleasure to be here in Birmingham in the Greystone, 280 area to share my joy and enthusiasm for Ballroom Dance.”
