Mihai began dancing at the age of 11 in the Republic of Moldova. He met his partner, Mariana, at the age of 13 and they were later married. Together they competed in International Standard and Latin and won several European Championships. Mihai studied at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts, specializing in choreography. In 2016 Mihai brought his family to the USA and joined Fred Astaire. Since then he has found great success, winning titles such as Regional Smooth Champion and National Smooth Finalist. Mihai has very high standards for his students and as a result he produces some of the strongest technical dancers in the region.
