Alyssa is one of our Mangers here at Fred Astaire Sugarland. She is from Connecticut growing up training in tap, jazz, and ballet. Eventually getting chosen to join an elite group in New York to train with many different Broadway choreographers. It wasn’t until later in life that she wandered into a ballroom studio and fell in love with partner dancing. From the moment she walked into the studio she knew this passion was what she was meant to spend her life sharing.
Alyssa has taught at Fred Astaire Dance studios all over the United States for over 13 years, finally finding her home here in Sugarland. She loves working with all different levels to help them discover which benefits are going to help in their dance journey and watching that change over time. Her goal as a teacher is to make dancing feel as easy as walking so anyone can do it! Some of her favorite things about teaching beginners is to help them discover their own desire for dance, for couples to help them grow and learn something together, she especially loves to work with wedding couples and be part of that experience with them, and advanced students to focus on her favorite topic of all time which is the DETAILS!
