We love a good party, a fun event with a theme. And our October calendar is packed with opportunities for you to come out and dance, meet others and enjoy some festivities that have a seasonal twist.
Our busy, busy month kicks off on Sunday, Oct. 7, with Team Match at The Crystal Ballroom Downtown. Coaches Gigi, Ben and Alan have been getting our competitors prepared and those students are working super-hard and would love to have you support them. Team Match begins at 2 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m.
Team Match is a great way to show your studio spirit and allows new students to experience what working as Team Astaire is all about. With an exciting environment, a great theme, and a lot of enthusiasm, join your Fred Astaire Dance Studios as we root on our fellow new students and teachers!
We’re off campus on Wednesday, Oct. 24, for Starlight at The House of Blues, from 7-10 p.m. The Ballroom Blitz – right here at The Woodlands – follows on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m.
We’ve got one other biggie, and that is the National Dance Championships-FA National in Orlando, Fl., from Oct. 29-Nov. 2. This is quite a prestigious competition. The Woodlands will be represented by Bob Shullaw, Debbie Winston and Lorraine Bruce. Kudos to Bob, Debbie and Lorraine for all of their dedication and hard work!
This event takes us back to one of our absolute favorite venues, the Hilton Bonnet Creek Orlando, for an incredible dance event. There will be spectacular dancing, bright lights, and the warm weather and renowned attractions of Orlando – including the excitement of Walt Disney World – just beyond the doors of our resort. Make plans to attend – mark your calendar for the Fred Astaire National Dance Championships and join us for a great autumn dance getaway!
We’re going to be in the Halloween spirit on Thursday, Oct. 25, with our Monster Mash Potluck. Design that costume and use your creativity. Then take that creativity into the kitchen and come up with a tasty dish to share with your friends.
