Born and raised in Hungary, Mihaly (Misi) discovered his passion for dance at just 11 years old after exploring a variety of sports. Once he stepped onto the ballroom floor, he never looked back. Throughout his early career, he became a Formation World Champion, Show Dance World Champion, and a proud member of the Hungarian National Team. Expanding his talents beyond the ballroom, he also starred as a soloist at Buda Castle’s National Dance Theatre.
Before moving to the U.S., Misi taught both Social and Competitive Dance to students of all ages and earned his certification as a Zumba Instructor—leading one of the world’s largest Zumba events with thousands in attendance. At 24, he brought his passion to America as a Fred Astaire Professional Instructor. Since then, Misi has grown into a multi-studio owner, traveling coach, and judge, sharing his expertise across the country. He specializes in advanced level coaching and continues to shine competitively alongside his partner, Alex Dane, as a star-marked couple at the prestigious Blackpool Dance Festival. He has also been recognized as a Top Instructor at the Fred Astaire National Championships and consistently ranks among the top five instructors in Texas.
Misi’s greatest joy is sharing his love of dance and helping students transform their confidence both on and off the dance floor.
Fun Fact: When he’s not dancing, Misi loves cars and secretly dreams of becoming a racecar driver!
