Shannon began dancing at age 12, initially focusing on hip hop
and self-learning through online resources. Over time, inspired
by various influences, she expanded her training to include
multiple dance styles. Her passion for dance led her to pursue
Ballroom Dancing at Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Willoughby, OH, where she
quickly fell in love with the art form and was offered a position
as a dance instructor—marking the start of her professional
Ballroom Dance career.
Seeking to broaden her education and experience, Shannon
later joined Designed to Dance in Medina, OH, led by Open
Rhythm World Finalists Kristen & Toshko Kondov. Over two
years, she taught private lessons and group classes, performed
in showcases and competitions, and trained under several
esteemed coaches. This period was formative in shaping her
teaching skills and deepening her dedication to continuous
learning and growth within the dance community.
Today, Shannon is thrilled to be part of Fred Astaire Dance Studio Newtown, where she’s excited to share her knowledge, inspire students, and continue growing in her craft.
