Ricky Bentzen is originally from Denmark.
He represented his home country throughout his amateur career. He was undefined Danish Latin Champion and 2 time world Latin semi finalist. In 2008 he moved to the United States where he became apart of Fred Astaire dance studios and began his professional career as American rhythm competitor and achieved following results: 11 time undefeated Fred Astaire American rhythm champion. 3 times United States open American rhythm finalist. 4 times world open American rhythm finalist. World American rhythm show dance vice champion.
Today Ricky is the co-owner of Fred Astaire Peoria Arizona and is a Fred Astaire national coach, adjudicator and Fred Astaire National Dance board member. In addition also an NDCA licensed adjudicator.
