Helena Tokarew – Studio Owner, Studio Director, Studio Operator

Helena’s journey in the world of dance began in Caracas, Venezuela, where she first took her initial steps in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop at the age of 5. Her passion for movement only intensified as she delved into Flamenco from ages 9 to 14, until she discovered her true calling in ballroom dance at 14, inspired by shows like Dancing With The Stars. Quickly immersing herself in the art form, Helena began teaching at Fred Astaire by the age of 15, showcasing both her talent and her early leadership qualities.

With a degree in business under her belt, Helena’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to become a studio owner, where she continues to share her profound love for dance. But beyond the technical steps, dance holds a deeper significance in Helena’s life. It’s been her steadfast companion through life’s joys and challenges, offering not just physical benefits but also emotional solace and growth. This holistic understanding of dance fuels Helena’s desire to cultivate a community within her studio where others can experience its transformative power firsthand.

Helena’s dedication extends beyond the dance floor, as she treasures moments with her husband and two daughters. Family is at the heart of her life, grounding her amidst the whirlwind of studio ownership and dance instruction. Her ultimate goal is clear: to continue spreading the joy of dance, bringing people together, and helping them flourish both physically and emotionally through this captivating art form. In Helena’s eyes, dance isn’t just a series of movements—it’s a vehicle for connection, self-expression, and personal growth.
