Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Samanta’s dancing began when she was 5 years old studying ballet, tap and traditional Spanish dances. Later, she dedicated more than 10 years to dancing Flamenco with many of the most renowned teachers for the style. Samanta studied at Universidad of La Matanza, and she earned a bachelor’s in accounting.
Samanta discovered ballroom dancing when she moved to the United States in 2010. She ranked among the top dancers at the most prestigious competitions in the country. Samanta also ranked as top dancer at the first American Smooth Competition in Blackpool, UK in 2017.
In 2020, Samanta’s passion for dance and her business background brought her to Northwest Arkansas to open the first Fred Astaire Dance Studios in the North Arkansas Region located in Bentonville. Two years later, her and her now husband, Ray Waite, opened together the Springdale location which became the third school in the Region.
Samanta’s commitment, both as owner and instructor, is to bring people the incredible experience she has had as part of the Fred Astaire Dance Studios’ family and share her passion for dancing with everyone.
