We did dance lessons here for our wedding. Javier was our instructor and was absolutely amazing. The dance turned out great and he made us feel so confident and comfortable. I highly recommend this studio to all couples!
We had the best experience with the team at Fred Astaire. We wanted to learn to dance for our wedding and from the initial point of contact, everything was super easy and everyone was super nice. Jackie was so wonderful and kind and helped us come in to meet our instructor, Javier, who is incredibly talented and has the best disposition for helping people learn. Scheduling and the packages were super easy to understand and everything was explained thoroughly to us and we started our lessons! We ended up having a lot of fun and being prepared to have a very lovely first dance and we can't wait to send videos back to the team! I loved the idea of coming back to for a date night - Everyone was so kind, warm, helpful and encouraging! I learned so much about the incredible community that the studio has with all sorts of fun events and things to get people more comfortable dancing and socializing! I'm looking forward to getting back once all this wedding planning is over. Thank you to everyone who made this such an incredible experience!
I'm so glad I took the leap of faith and started taking dance lessons at Fred Astaire. The professional dance instructors at the St. Charles studio are wonderful, have great energy and spirit, and never stop encouraging and inspiring me to dance beyond my own comfort level.
All of the teachers are talented and passionate athletes/artists as well as excellent instructors. Private lessons are phenomenal, and the many group classes available make it so much fun. There are so many opportunities to practice, grow, and perform. Best studio around!
My husband and I took lessons here for the first dance of our wedding. Our instructor was Ruby and she was AMAZING!! We needed a lot of help and she was so patient with us. We had about 5 classes with her and she helped us create a simple yet sweet routine!
Yarina choreographed our first dance for our wedding and did an absolutely wonderful job! She was patient with us and saved us from looking like fools on the dance floor. We loved the class so much that we are going to continue classes!
Wonderful studio! My husband and I joined a few months ago for the purpose of learning a couple steps in order to dance at our son’s wedding. Every staff member has been welcoming and encouraging to us as we have started a late-in-life dance journey. Despite how out of shape we are and our complete lack of experience, the instructors are always patient and cheer for every small step of progression; their expertise was clear from the 1st lesson! The wedding has come and gone and we are still signing up for lessons. And now, we are going to start taking advantage of the skills classes and super-fun events they hold regularly. We highly recommend the St. Charles Fred Astaire studio/dance family!

Ruby was great with instruction and choreo for our first dance. I am a lineman with 2 left feet but she made me look graceful and like I knew what I was doing. Fellas, bring your future wife here. It pays and it’s fun
We had Ruby as our instructor. We took a total of 15 lessons leading up to our wedding for our first dance and Ruby was amazing, we were so pleased with the lessons and would definitely recommend! She is helpful for anyone - novice or experienced!
The motto of this studio “Life is Better When You Dance” is absolutely true. The owner and teachers at Fred Astaire St. Charles are excellent. Not only are the amazingly accomplished dancers themselves, but they really know how to teach people to dance. They push you to be your best, no matter your level. I always feel safe, confident, and supported even though I am very very new at this sport. The benefits are physical and mental. If you are looking for a place to be happy AND learn how to dance, this is it. I ❤️ my dance family here at FADS.
I haven't attended several of my private dance classes. Dennis is a great instructor, he is fun and patient with my poor dancing skills. My steps are getting better and slightly "faster". I was a little worried with my busy, messy work schedule and often last minute traveling needs, that a dancing schedule wouldn't work out. Fred Astaire has been VERY accommodating. I would refer them to friends and family. I look forward to dancing with the stars soon 😉 -Thank you guys
