Michaela McTague – Dance instructor

Michaela McTague began dancing at the age of five and trained extensively in ballet, jazz, modern, and contemporary dance. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance Studies from Dean College in 2020, where she further developed her passion for performance, choreography, and dance education.

While attending college, Michaela completed an internship at a local dance studio, teaching Creative Movement and Musical Theater Jazz classes to young dancers. This experience helped shape her teaching philosophy and love for sharing dance with students of all ages.

In 2021, Michaela joined a Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Massachusetts as a dance instructor. During her time there, she taught students in a variety of dance styles while also performing and choreographing for professional studio showcases and Pro Shows.

From 2022 to 2023, Michaela expanded her performance experience as a professional cheerleader and dancer for the Massachusetts Pirates.

One of Michaela’s proudest accomplishments is founding Groove, a dance company she launched in 2019. As director and choreographer, she created a welcoming environment where dancers could grow artistically and build confidence. Throughout the school year, Michaela taught classes and developed choreography, culminating in an annual summer performance each August. Groove operated successfully from 2019 through 2024 before Michaela relocated to Florida.

Today, Michaela continues to share her passion for dance through teaching, choreography, and inspiring students to discover confidence, creativity, and joy through movement.
