Kostya Savchuk was born in Ukraine. He started ballroom dancing at the age of eight. Eventually he became a professional and decided to make ballroom dancing his career. He competed in Ukraine, where he was a finalist in the National Championship, and competed successfully in international competitions in many countries including France, Italy, China, and Poland.
He opened his own dance studio, called Elegant where he trained more than 100 students, many of whom went on to win international competitions. As a competition organizer he created the All-Ukrainian Elegant Cup in Lviv tournament at which more than 500 dancers competed each year.
Kostya arrived in the United States in 2021 to teach at the Fred Astaire studio.
