We’ve been working with Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Beaverton to prepare for our wedding dance, and it’s been such a great experience. The instructors are not only incredibly kind, but also truly skilled at teaching. They find creative ways to connect with students and help us really understand the steps—something we’ve appreciated as beginners!
There are plenty of class options throughout the week, which has made it easy to reinforce what we’ve learned in our private lessons. The group classes are a fun and welcoming environment, and everyone we’ve met has been super friendly.

We are so happy to have joined the Fred Astaire Dance Studio! My husband and I decided to take private lessons for our wedding dance and we could not be happier with our choice. As complete beginners, group classes and Friday parties were a great way of gaining more confidence on the dance floor and helped us figure out which dance style we wanted to focus on. Megan did a wonderful job working with us on a dance routine that was perfectly choreographed to our song of choice. The end result exceeded any expectations we originally had. My husband and I are having a wonderful time learning ballroom dancing. Sami is a warm, patient, knowledgeable instructor! She, Kacey and Megan have all been so supportive, and we really enjoy the individual and group classes. Our fellow students have also been great to dance with and get to know.
The dance studio is a beautiful space but the people there are even better. I've taken private and group lessons from each of the instructors and all have been fun, positive, and most importantly they each bring something unique to their lessons in order to improve my dancing. This is a very positive and fun place to not only learn to dance but to meet new friends and be part of a larger community. I was sure I would only take a few lessons but over a year later I am still excited each time I walk into the studio.
