Eugene Simac- Instructor

Originally from Moldova. Eugene came to Fred Astaire with an extensive background in many forms of dance. Holding a diploma from the “O.Ghibu” professional dance school, one of top performers in TV-shows in Moldova, he has won numerous eastern and western europe competitions and championships. Eugene brings a new set of skills to the ballroom floor and has a unique way of bringing out the best in students of all levels.

Eugene’s specialty is in body movement and expression which he shares in both private lessons and group classes alike. With his extensive knowledge of how the body works, he has an excellent way of improving students’ frames, footwork, and turns. We are so pleased to have his unique talents and vivacious personality as a part of team Brewster.

 

Angelina Boiko- Instructor

Angelina started dancing at the age of four at the children’s choreography school “Kalynonka” in Kyiv, Ukraine. She graduated from the Kyiv Institute of Culture and Art with a degree in “Choreography”. She underwent her practical training as a Ukrainian Folk-Stage Dance Instructor at the National Academy of Government Managerial Staff of Culture and the Arts. She has worked at the Kyiv Theatre School, at the “Vitaminchiki” ensemble and was a principal dancer at “Kalyna,” one of the two most prominent Ukrainian Folk-Stage Dance ensembles in the world. In 2014 Angelina has joined the Fred Astaire – Brewster team.

 

Igor Melnyk- Instrustor

Igor began dancing at the age of five at the “Vitaminchicki” Ukrainian Folk Stage Dance ensemble in Kyiv, Ukraine. He Graduated from the Kyiv Institute of Art and Culture with a bachelor’s degree in “Choreography” and “Ukrainian Folk-Stage Dance”. He then went on to receive a Master’s Degree in “Choreography” from the same Institute.  Igor has worked in the Kyiv Theatre School, in the ensemble “Vitaminchiki” where he himself danced as a child, and at one of the two most prominent Ukrainian Folk Stage-Dance ensembles, “Kalyna” as a principal dancer. In 2014 Igor came to NY to work at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Brewster, NY, and has been a part of our team ever since.

Ion Simboteanu – Instructor

Was born in Moldova,

” To me, dance is more than just a beautiful art form. Dance is a way to communicate with people and it should be respected and honored. I feel it is beautiful, exciting and inspiring. Dancing is power, a prayer, it gives a sense of life.”

His dancing career : 14 years of professional ballroom and latin dancing

•Finalist at the 2012 WDSF European DanceSport Championship in Moscow, RUS

•Finalist 2013 WDSF European Ten Dance

Adults 10 Dance in Hungary

•Finalist 2013 WDSF World Ten Dance

Adults 10 Dance in Austria

•Finalist 2014 WDSF World Championship Showdance Standard in China

 

Mykyta Zhukovskyi- Instructor

Mykyta graduated from the Kyiv National College of Culture and Art with a bachelor’s degree in “Choreography – choreographer of choreographic ensembles, artist of Ukrainian Folk-Stage Dance ensembles”. He has a master’s degree of “Choreography” from the European Institute of “Show-Business”. He has worked at the Private Girl’s School “Lady and at the center for children’s development “Apelsyn” both in Kyiv, Ukraine as an instructor and choreographer. In 2017, Mykyta has moved to NY and became a part of the Fred Astaire – Brewster team.
