Fred Astaire Dutchess Fall Freddy Ball 2018

Fred Astaire Dutchess Fall Freddy Ball 2018

As a prestigious ballroom & latin dance studio, we bring our students the highest quality instruction, coaches, and events for learning to dance in the Hudson Valley. As part of our commitment to giving our students the best that ballroom dancing has to offer, we organize and attend studio & regional events on a regular basis. This post will dive into our next studio event, The Freddy Ball, and its importance for our students and studio.

As we work towards our students’ long term goal of becoming the best dancers they can be, short term goals are extremely important. We have 4 main categories of improvement when learning how to dance: Figures (the dance steps), Appearance, Partnership & Expression. Every studio and regional event is set to help drive our improvement in one or more of those categories.

The Freddy Ball specifically focuses on appearance, which includes musicality & general technique for their level.  At this special event students get to hone their performance skills by doing their dances in front Fred Astaire Dance Board Judge, Victor Russu. Victor will give each student a grade based on their level and written feedback about what they can improve upon for each dance.
