Margo Basenko is a passionate and experienced dance instructor with a lifelong dedication to the art of dance. She began her dance journey at the age of 6, participating in numerous competitions and festivals that helped shape her talent and stage presence from an early age.
At 16, Margo was accepted into the prestigious Serge Lifar Dance Academy in Kyiv, where she refined her technique and deepened her understanding of classical and contemporary dance. Following her professional training, she continued her education at the Pedagogical University, earning a Bachelor’s degree that further enhanced her ability to teach and inspire others.
Margo’s professional career took an international turn when she joined the renowned Caracalla Dance Theatre in Lebanon. Over five years, she performed with the troupe on stages around the world and also served as a dance instructor at Caracalla Dance Studios, working closely with children and helping young dancers develop their skills and confidence.
After her time abroad, Margo returned to Ukraine, where she continues to share her knowledge and passion for dance as a dedicated instructor in a local dance studio, focusing on training and inspiring the next generation of young dancers.
In 2022, Margo was invited to join an international group of dancers performing in Saudi Arabia. She spent a year there, performing in high-profile productions and contributing to cultural dance projects across the country.
Later that year she moved to Greensboro, NC, along with her husband Nick Basenko, and join the staff of Fred Astaire Dance Studios Greensboro. The team became stronger with Margo’s knowledge, experience and her passion for dance.
