Catherine Cameron earned her Master’s of Business Administration degree from Western Governors University over the course of six months in 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Dance and a Bachelor of Science in International Business with a minor in Russian, graduating magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2014. She earned the Virginia Moomaw Scholarship for Dance, the Bryan Scholarship, and the Bryan Outstanding Student Award, one of 8 students graduating with Full University Honors, and the only Dance Major to complete the Senior Honors Project. While studying abroad, she coached American-style jazz jumps and turns for National Champion dance teams in Estonia, and judged the Golden Trophy Dance Cup in Tartu, Estonia. Catherine began dancing at the age of 2, and began competing (in styles including jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, ballet, pointe, musical theatre, modern, and tap) at the age of 7. She earned multiple State and Southeast Regional titles in both solo and group competition. She began working as a professional musical theatre choreographer and stage manager in 2014, having choreographed 9 productions, and stage managing 3, including 2 world premiere performances, and earning the 2015 Sandra B. Turek Award for Choreography for her work in “Annie Get Your Gun,” Gallery Players (Burlington, NC), 2014. Catherine began working at Fred Astaire Dance Studios in 2016 and was named Rookie of the Year for 2016. With her partner, Catherine placed 3rd in the Fred Astaire Dance Studios National Dance Championships in Professional Mixed Novice competition, and won the Tango. She and Grygorii coached a couple to Fred Astaire Dance Studios National Top 5 Amateur status in 2023. Catherine was nominated for a Fred Astaire Dance Studios National Top Customer Service Award in 2023. She is a member of the National Dance Council of America and holds professional certificates in American Smooth, American Rhythm and International Standard.
