Born and raised in Serbia, Maja Kovacevic discovered her passion for dance at the age of 9 when she began her journey in ballroom dance. By the age of 17, she transitioned from student to teacher, sharing her love for dance with others. As a professional competitor in the Latin dance category, Maja was a finalist in all major competitions, showcasing her talent and dedication.
Maja has spent years working with children in her dance studio in Serbia, nurturing their passion for dance and helping them develop their skills. Nearly a decade ago, she moved to the USA with her family, where she joined Fred Astaire Dance Studios. Here, she expanded her expertise by learning the American Rhythm and Smooth styles.
Her commitment to excellence has been recognized through multiple Guest Referral awards, as well as prestigious titles such as Top Teacher and the Honors Fredy Award. Maja loves her job and enjoys every second of it. She has a huge passion for sharing her knowledge and inspiring her students to embrace the joy of dance.
