Gabriela Jileva – Director & Dance specialist

Gabriela Jileva started dancing and competing in Ballroom at the age of 10 in her native Bulgaria where she won National Open International Standard title and represented her country to the World Cup Championships in Vienna, Austria. She has been with the Fred Astaire Organization for more than 10 years and has been awarded top teacher for the state of NJ. Gabriela has a bachelor’s degree in Finance.

Gaby’s favorite thing about the dance business is the people! She loves helping to develop their talents no matter what level of dancer they are. She says “seeing the excitement on their face, whether it’s because they just learned a box step or placed first in a National Competition is always a wonderful experience for a teacher to have. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to it.”

 

Greg Capar – Manager and Certified Dance Instructor

Greg Capar has been studying ballroom and latin dance since the age of 13.  Throughout the years, Greg has competed both nationally and internationally as a member of the latin formation team.  A highlight of his time with the team was the honor of  representing the United States at the world championships in Germany.  One of his more recent accomplishments as been Top Teacher at the 2016 Awards Ball Team Match Competition.  Greg now focuses his energy on managing & training the Fred Astaire Morristown staff!

 

 

Cristina DiGiacomo – Office Manager

Cristina’s passion  for ballroom dance was realized as a college student, where she was President of the Rutgers University DanceSport Team and began dancing in competitions.  Most recently she returned to the dance floor to compete in Fred Astaire’s Professional Mixed Novice & Basic American Smooth and Rhythm divisions. She enjoys being a part of a studio where new students can experience & fall in love with dance every day.

 

 

 

 

Joe Hasson – Certified Dance Instructor

Joe Hasson has been dancing since he could walk, growing up in his parents’ Fred Astaire Studios located in Arizona, Alabama, Tennessee, and North Carolina. He caught the dancing bug early, competing and performing ballroom & latin with his mother as his instructor/partner, and won many Junior Regional, National and World Championship titles with her. His passion has always been for the latin dances, but, with Fred Astaire US American Ballroom Finalist parents, he has extensive training in both styles.
So far, his highest achievement has been placing 2nd, in the Fred Astaire World Championships Professional Open American Rhythm, and 2nd in the Professional Rising Star American Rhythm. He was also Washington Open Professional Rising Star Rhythm Champion, and International Grand Ball Rising Star Professional Rhythm Champion, and Professional Open Rhythm Finalist. Joe recently began an exciting professional partnership, with Natalie Honkonen, and they are actively pursuing professional Rhythm titles all over the country.
Joe began teaching at age 15 and has taught in several Fred Astaire Dance Studios across the country and has worked with many top-ranked students in all styles across all age divisions. Joe looks forward to inspiring many more students to achieve their dancing goals!

Tsvetomir Stoynov – Certified Dance Instructor

The newest addition to our Morristown family, Tsvetomir (“Svet”), comes from Bulgaria where he started ballroom dancing at the age of 8. Since a very young age he set himself apart with discipline and determination, and his obvious talent shone through the immediate great accolades he achieved when judges and coaches saw him on the dance floor.

Tsvetomir has been competing very successfully, both nationally and internationally, winning many competitions throughout Bulgaria, Greece and Macedonia. In 2013 he was cast and successfully accepted as a dancer in South Korea’s Everland, where he spent many days dancing and entertaining guests. He has spent the past 8 years working as a coach and guest trainer at some of the best and most popular Ballroom dance studios in Bulgaria – Orion, Accent, Avatar Team, Sofia Dance, teaching both children and adults. He holds a bachelors Degree in Engineering and Certificate Diploma in Ballroom dancing from Bulgarian National Sports Academy.

 

Natalie Duke-Honkonen – Certified Dance Instructor

A graduate of Chattanooga Center for the Creative Arts (CCA) and choreography student of Columbia College Chicago, Natalie has a passion for all forms of dance and has performed in a variety of theatrical productions.

Natalie served as a Top Tier Company Member of WEAVE: A Conceptual Dance Company headed by Bernadette and Travis Upton as well as an instructor for the Fred Astaire Team in Tennessee, where she became a two-time regional Rhythm Champion. Wanting to expand her horizons and seeking a greater challenge, Natalie moved to NJ, where she is very happy to be a part of an amazing team and looks forward to the exciting future of her dancing career!

 

 

Aaron Pardini – Beginner Specialist

Aaron Pardini has an AA Degree in Fine Arts from Orange Coast College where he received training in Ballet, Jazz, and African dance with a specialized focus in Tap. Pardini moved to New Jersey from Southern California where he enjoyed performing and and teaching dance. Pardini has trained at numerous dance festivals and Master Classes with dozens of well-known dance industry professionals. He has done company work with Rhapsody in Taps and Tap Overload; as a soloist he performed “Singing in the Rain” in Laguna Beach’s Pageant of the Masters and has collaborated with musicians Dean Shepherd in “David Danced Before the Lord” and Dr. I Nyoman Wenten in Giri Kusuma (“Flower Mountain”) tap dancing the Balinese Monkey Chant.

As an instructor, Pardini has worked with dancers of all ages, preparing students both for competition and for recreational enjoyment. He has most recently become fully immersed in the world of social ballroom and latin dancing, and looks forward to sharing his knowledge with many new dancers as Fred Astaire Morristown’s Beginner Specialist.
