Sasha was born and raised in Ukraine, in the city of Mariupol.
He took his first dance steps at the age of 7 in the style of children’s variety and Greek folk dances, since the town he grew up in is related to Greek culture. At the age of 9 he started ballroom dancing and he has continued to do this type of dancing until today.
Sasha achieved success in ballroom dancing competitions as a winner in regional all Ukrainian and International competitions. He was also a finalist of the European Championship and in the Top 50 at the Blackpool Dance Festival. He has also trained in other areas such as hip-hop, afro house, and popping.
Sasha has been teaching for a total of 15 years, including work as the head of a Greek folklore dance ensemble and choreographer in a children’s theater. He has also worked as a hip-hop teacher for about 5 years, conducting classes for children from 5 to 16 years old and adults. In addition to teaching, he was also a coach and mentor for International Latin couples who successfully competed at the All-Ukrainian competitions. He was also notably part of “So You Think You Can Dance” in Ukraine.
Sasha is a graduate from the Pedagogical University with a degree in Choreography and Artistic Culture.
His areas of specialty include International Latin, International Standard, American Rhythm, American Smooth, Hip Hop, Beginner Students, and Wedding Choreography.
Sasha is very excited to share his rich experience and contribute to the development of his students, in any direction, and of any age!
