What I love most about teaching: That I get to be a part of someone’s journey in dancing. The joy in getting to watch people have more fun dancing as their confidence in themselves increases on the dance floor is very moving.
Who I admire most and why: My father who chose to be a part of my life when he met my mother and I when I was 8 years old. He has done and continues to do all he can to provide for my mother, younger brother, and myself.
One thing most people do not know about me: I used to dread (far beyond just being nervous) the idea of getting up in front of people and doing anything, let alone dancing.
Biography: Started dancing in 2020 as a student with Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Parker, after bringing my mother to an Intro Dance Lesson. As a student, I performed in many Showcases as well as competing in local competitions. It was while attending Group Classes and dancing with other students during the Practice Parties that I found the joy in helping other students when they were struggling with a dance move. I was able to watch dance help so many students with their confidence, physical health, and so much more over these years. This included me. It was then that I decided I wanted to help bring dance to so many more and joined the Fred Astaire Dance Studio Team.
