My husband and i have been taking lessons at Fred Astaire Dance Studio in South Windsor for over a year, and each week... we’ve learned something new! Between the variety of dances to learn, and technique and posture, each week is a lesson well spent. Ivanna has been great about working around our schedule and is always in a pleasant mood. The studio also offers a lot of great opportunities, whether it’s dance competitions, trips, or Friday group dances where we can fine tune our skills, moving around a dance floor. Dancing is a great skill to have in your toolbox, and since starting at Fred Astaire in South Windsor, my then... girlfriend (now wife) and I have really been able to enjoy dancing with confidence at weddings. It’s also a good hobby for my wife and I to enjoy together. Ivana (our instructor) is always pleasant and upbeat, and able to adapt to our learning speed, interests, and our busy lives. Although I still feel like I have a lot to learn, when I look back on where we started, I’m stunned with how far we’ve come.read more

My wife and I love Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Windsor. We work with Ivana, an upbeat, patient, and supportive... teacher who shows up every lesson with positive energy and insight that helps us grow. She has also been great in working with our 12-year-old daughters, who are enjoying ballroom dancing. I've done one lesson with Damiano, and was grateful for what we got from him also. I have no hestitation in recommending that others who are considering trying ballroom dancing but aren't sure if they'll be comfortable or embarrased give this studio a try. I don't see myself as a natural dancer, but the time my wife and I spend with each other, laughing at our mistakes, surrounded by good music is great therapy.read more

Taking lessons at the south Windsor Fred Astaire is amazing! They are always doing fun parties and there are different... decorations every week we go there! The instructors are so patient and friendly. I would recommend this studio to anyone who is looking to take lessons and feel comfortable about being brought out of their shells!read more

My husband and I have been taking lessons with Ivana for three years now..We have so much fun. We both have different... interests, but this is something we can do together. Ivana is talented, patient ( thank you very much), and funny. We look forward to our dance time together.read more
