Alexys Campos – Dance Instructor

Alexys was born in Brownsville, Texas. He started dancing at the age of 8. Originally was an athlete participating in football, track, cross country, and strength training.  Alexys fell in love with the art of ballroom dancing and decided to drop all other sports to pursue his true passion.

He quickly became a competitor in formation team, and American rhythm and smooth with his partner.

Nevertheless, Alexys put his full focus on his dancing which led him to becoming a National Formation Champion and a National Rhythm Amatuer Finalist in 2023.

Making history, Alexys was part of the first formation team of Texas to ever compete nationally and beat 23 different teams in the USA.

After finishing his Amateur journey, Alexys had the urge to share his love of Ballroom dancing. He found that Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Southlake was the right fit for him. Alexys decided to join the DFW Team because of the high level of dancing and teaching that they provide to their students. He continues to compete and educate himself to provide the best quality to anyone who wants to learn the fantastic style of Ballroom dancing.
