Feelin’ loco? Spice things up at our Cinco de Mayo Dance Party! Join us as we commemorate Mexican history by dancing the night away at our Willoughby dance studio from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
We’ll meet and greet, make some new friends and (as always) dance, dance, dance. We’ll also have chips and salsa and margaritas, woohoo!
Cinco de Mayo is Friday, May 5. The holiday honors the Mexican Army’s unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza.
Cinco de Mayo is seen as a day to celebrate the culture, achievements and experiences of people with a Mexican background, who live in the United States. Traditional Mexican dances offer brilliant glimpses into the historical influences of today’s Mexico, and their bright and inventive choreography and costumes make them a delight to behold.
We’ll see you this Friday at the studio!
