Please Help Us In Feeding the Phoenix Area This November

The holiday season is upon us, but it isn’t a joyous time for the many with too little to eat.

We ask you to help be the change in our community – please take part in our November food drive. We are working with the St. Mary’s Food Bank here in Phoenix to help those dealing with food insecurity at a time of the year that celebrates the harvest. https://www.firstfoodbank.org/

Food insecurity is defined this way — the state of being without reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food. Think about that for a minute.

We at the Ahwatukee studio want to help and that means we are counting on your generosity as well. We are running the food drive from Nov. 18th to Nov. 26th. Here’s the plan:

  • For our current students: bring in non-perishable food items and you will receive extra points towards winter festival which means more chances to win prizes!
  • For new clients: bring in non-perishable food items and we’ll thank you with a free introductory dance lesson! No partner is required. Contact us to schedule a convenient time.
  • Our instructors will be teaching for 24 hours straight (!) on Saturday, Nov. 23 to support this cause! We ask, for each lesson a student takes, they bring at least one item to donate.
  • You can also make online donations here: mfba.convio.net/FredAstaireFundDrive
Benefiting The St. Mary’s Food Bank

How important is this? Consider: More than 979,000 Arizonans are struggling with hunger; roughly 348,000 are children. And you can’t tell just by looking. Some of these folks could be your neighbors.

Please help us gather food for those in need. Let’s do something to take a bite out of hunger in the Phoenix area.

Come see us. Bring non-perishable food or a donation and collect extra points (or a free lesson if you’re new!). We’re waiting for you …

*(One free lesson for new clients only)
