50 Shades of Dance
Fred Astaire Buffalo Annual Showcase
Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Buffalo is hosting their annual student showcase on Saturday, February 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. The theme this year is “50 Shades of Dance,” featuring dances choreographed to an array of musical styles and song choices that include colors or the word dance.

February is National Heart Month, and dancing is so beneficial to the heart, so it is only fitting that partial proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to support the American Heart Association. Representatives from the AHA’s Buffalo-Niagara Region will be attending the event.
“Regular physical activity is a great way to help improve your heart health,” said Michelle Marks-Hook, Development Director of the Buffalo-Niagara Region, American Heart Association. “The American Heart Association recommends 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity each week. Dancing is a great way to earn those minutes. We want to say thank you to Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Buffalo for getting people moving and helping to fund lifesaving research, education, and advocacy.”
“We love dance so much that we decided to share that love in an array of colors and styles for this year’s showcase,” said Serge Nelyubov and Yana Nelyubova, Co-Owners, FADS Buffalo. “Then to further demonstrate love and appreciation, we wanted to help the American Heart Association in their love for everyone’s hearts.”
Join us in February as we celebrate our students and all of their hard work over the past year, and celebrate in color!
