Peter Ekkart – Owner

Peter was born and raised in a dance studio. He started very young to dance competitions in Ballroom and Latin. He also was a student on the Royal Ballet School in Antwerp. He turned professional at 20, and gained 7 Belgian Champion titles in Latin, All-Round and Showdance. He made the final in the All-Round World Championship in 1989. Two years later he focused on judging, teaching and choreographing. After meeting Ellen, he started competing again, now focusing on Ballroom. They were 7 times undefeated Champions, and became Vice-World Champion in Ballroom 40+. As a professional couple Peter and Ellen defended their National colors on 16 World and European Competitions between 2009 and 2016. Since 2017 they relocated to Texas, and bought their own Fred Astaire Studio 18 months later.
