Serge Aliev, Owner

Serge Aliev joined the Fred Astaire Dance Studios in June 2004 as a beginner through advanced level teacher. Serge comes to us from Belarus, where he taught Ballroom and Latin Dancing at the University of Minsk. He has more than 10 years of experience and innumerable performances under his belt.He is a graduate of the University of Minsk with a degree in Art, and additional studies at the Belarus University of Culture. Serge has enjoyed a diverse dancing career which spans several continents. He was a recent Top 10 competitor in the 6th Super Korea Cup International Dance Sport Championship.

Since his arrival to the United States, Serge has achieved many awards within the Fred Astaire New England region and remains in the top 10 instructors year after year. Serge’s students have earned high placements for both regional and national competitions and continues to strive for excellence in dance with everyone that he works with.

Danilo Rakita, Dance Director/ Instructor

Danilo came to Jupiter Fred Astaire with a long list of international achievements in the dance industry including:

  • Certified DanceSport Coach
  • Certified International Competitive Adjudicator
  • Has chaired the Serbian Dance Federation
  • Performed in many professional stage performances, such as “Tera Latina” more than 110 Shows through Asia with much acclaim. Choreographed the stage productions of Red Riding Hood, Snow White, New Year’s Fairytale to name a few

Danilo brings a judge’s eye to each lesson, which has proven results with his students who have gone on to compete with him both regionally and nationally. Danilo comes to us from the New England Region, where he had achieved year after year many New England Regional Awards such as Top Teacher. Danilo embraces both social and competitive students and offers both child and adult lessons, competitions, and wedding preparation. Danilo continues to excel in Certifications, Diploma’s while never stopping to improve his level of dance and ability to teach.

Vitalii Tozik, Instructor / Choreographer

Vitalii began his teaching with Fred Astaire Dance Studios in 2017. With over 22 years of teaching and coaching experience, Vitalii comes to us from Smolensk, Russia, where he was the owner of the DanceSport Club “Paradox”. Vitalii has a degree in choreography teaching from the High College of Art and Culture in Smolensk. He specializes in Ballroom and Latin dance for children and young adults and has received numerous awards for recognition of the development and growth of Dance Art and Dance Culture.

In addition to his many qualifications, Vitalii has attended many Ballroom and Latin dance workshops throughout the world where he has been taught by lead professionals such as Slavyk Kryklyvy, Brian Watson, and Riccardo Cocchi. Since his arrival in the United States, Vitalii has been a vital asset to the success of Fred Astaire Jupiter and his dedication to dance is displayed through the happiness and results of his students.

Karla Boldirev, Dance Instructor

Karla has been with Fred Astaire Dance Studios since 2006. She holds a Master’s Degree in Choreography and Production. Karla was professionally trained from the Professional Dance Company in Mexico. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Dance, Contemporary and Ballet from Universidad de las Americas Mexico.

Karla has taught Ballroom Dance at various institutions including the International Academics in Michigan, Fred Astaire Bloomfield Hills, and Aliqua Ballroom. Karla has received many high honors and was awarded the Bronze and Silver Diploma certificates from the Fred Astaire Dance Studios syllabus.

Christopher Elwell, Studio Manager

Christopher Elwell joined our team as the manager of the studio in 2012. He relocated from Connecticut in 2012 where he had resided his entire life, he now resides in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Chris is the friendly face behind the phone as well as the front desk when you walk into the studio.

Angelica Downey, Dance Instructor

Angelica has been dancing ballet, jazz, and contemporary styles from a young age. She received formal training from the New Jersey of Ballet and has been a part of various competitive dance teams. Angelica has also performed in multiple theatrical settings.  She started ballroom dancing when she was 13 but took a hiatus to pursue her education and degree. With a Master’s degree in Special Education, Angelica combines her love of dance and teaching in her practices as an instructor at Fred Astaire Jupiter.
