Alex Aillon first started his ballroom dance career at a Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Witchita, KS, more than 30 years ago.
He opened Fred Astaire Portland ten years ago in the heart of downtown Portland with great success. Five years later, parking and the smell of a Mexican restaurant below drove him to look for a new place to call home. Now, Fred Astaire Portland occupies a beautifully renovated warehouse in Lake Oswego, close to the upscale shopping area, Bridgeport Village, equipped with two ballrooms, one competition size, and a bar.
Alex continued his competitive dance career with his wife and business partner, Jessi Aillon, and won impressive titles, including:
– Open Smooth Champions, Galaxy Dance Festival
– 2-time West Coast Dance Champions, Seattle Star Ball
– Rising Star Smooth Vice Champions, Fred Astaire National Dance Championship
Alex and Jessi live in Portland, OR, with their two sons.
