Jessi waltzed into her first dance studio at age five and never left! One class per week soon became a lifestyle of daily training during which time she studied, performed, and competed in various styles ranging from tap, jazz, ballet, modern, hip-hop, and contemporary, winning numerous High Point soloist and scholarship awards.
Upon graduating from New York University with an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts in Dance, Religion and Philosophy, Jessi moved to Portland where she met her husband and dance partner, Alex Aillon. Ten years, marriage, and two kids later, dancing, teaching and chasing toddlers keeps every moment exciting!
Jessi has won impressive titles as a Ballroom Professional, including:
– Open Smooth Champions, Galaxy Dance Festival
– 2-time West Coast Dance Champions, Seattle Star Ball
– Rising Star Smooth Vice Champions, Fred Astaire National Dance Championship
Jessi believes every lesson is a new opportunity to master one’s craft by sharing it with others. Above all else, dancing should be FUN!
