Wedding Dance Choreography Built Around Your Song Built Around Your Song
Good wedding dance choreography fits the couple and the music. If you already have a song, tell us early. We’ll help you choose a style that matches it.
If you haven’t picked a song yet, that’s fine too. Some couples find a style they love first and choose the music later. Here’s how songs and styles often match:
Your first dance choreography can be elegant, contemporary or just plain fun. It’s completely up to you.
Your song | Styles that often fit |
Slow and romantic | Waltz or rumba |
Classic or jazzy | Foxtrot |
Dramatic and intense | Tango |
Upbeat and fun | Swing, cha-cha or salsa |
Country | Country Western Two-Step |
Wedding Dance Programs We Offer
Private Dance Lessons for Your Wedding
In private dance lessons for your wedding, it’s just the two of you and your instructor. That lets your instructor focus fully on your routine and your goals. Our private dance lessons page explains how the one-on-one format works.
This format is built for the two of you, but you don’t always have to arrive as a pair. If one of you can’t make it, the other can still come and practice with the instructor.
Parents and wedding party members can learn on their own, too. One-on-one, they practice with an instructor. In a group class, they switch partners throughout.

Father-Daughter and Mother-Son Dances
A traditional Father/Daughter or Mother/Son dance is a lovely way to honor your parents. We offer father-daughter dance lessons and mother-son sessions. They’re open to parents, or to family members and friends standing in that role. We usually suggest a few sessions for parents who’ll be on the floor.
Wedding Party Dances
More and more couples bring their wedding party into the studio. Together, we can create a unique group routine. You could even re-create a famous scene from your favorite movie or music video.
Kind Words From Our Students
Thank you Dan and Kamil (THE BEST!) They have a way of breaking things down so that learning feels natural, encouraging, and even fun. What has surprised me most is how much they have helped me express something inside of myself that I didn’t even realize was there.

Since then, I’ve gone from a beginner to competing at two USDC competitions in Orlando, even earning second place in my Bronze Pro-Am division across all 9 dances. I feel blessed to have found the studio. In addition to the joy of dancing, I’ve lost 45 lbs along the way!

Attending lessons at their studio is the highlight of my week. Thank you for all the laughter, teaching me the art of ballroom dance, and inviting my family to be a part of yours. I adore you both!!!

I have tried several teachers in the past to help me with salsa. I never had success.
Here at Fred Astaire studio Donata was a new teacher and she was patient and enabled me to be a confident dancer within 2 months. The owners and staff are very friendly and treat you like family.
I highly recommend.

I highly recommend!! Allie, Dima and Dan are wonderful dancers and teachers.
Dancing is happiness!

Frequently Asked Questions
How Much Do Wedding Dance Lessons Cost in Miami?
Wedding dance lessons at our studio start with our Introductory Lesson Deal. For $49, you get a private lesson, a wedding consultation and a studio tour. After that, we’ll tailor a program to your goals and budget. It can range from a few simple steps to a fully choreographed routine. It can also include your parents or wedding party.
How Long Before the Wedding Should We Start First Dance Lessons?
We recommend starting your first dance lessons at least 5 to 6 months before your wedding. That leaves time to schedule sessions for you, your parents and your wedding party, and to feel truly confident. If you have less time, we can still help. Just contact us as soon as possible.
What's the Best Dance to Learn for a Wedding?
The best dance to learn for your wedding is the one that suits your song and your style. Our instructors can use any ballroom style. Options include a classic waltz or foxtrot, a sultry tango or a lively Country Western Two-Step. They can even combine more than one. If you’re not sure yet, bring your song to the consultation, and we’ll suggest a style that fits.
Can We Learn to Dance for Our Wedding With No Experience?
Yes. You can learn to dance for your wedding even if you’ve never danced before. We teach couples at every level, including complete beginners.
What Should We Wear to Wedding Dance Classes?
For wedding dance classes, wear something comfortable that lets you move easily. Coming straight from the office is fine. For shoes, leather soles work well for men, and shoes with a back work well for women. Avoid athletic shoes, since they stick to the floor. Also, bring your wedding shoes to your first lesson. Your instructor can check if they’re comfortable to move in.
