Get to know your Fred Astaire dance studios Morrisville instructor and co-owner Ruslan Golovashchenko.

Ruslan is a highly experienced and award-winning dancer and instructor. Beginning his dance career at age of 10 he was trained with many world famous coaches.

He holds a Master’s degree in choreography from the National University of Culture and Art of Ukraine.
Ruslan has great experience as a dancer and carries many outstanding achievements and titles.
He holds the title of International Master of Sports and holds an undefeated “Ballroom and Showcase Dance Champion of Ukraine in Professionals “title from 2007-2012.
Ruslan represented Ukraine in European Championships and World Championships in Amateur and then
Professional divisions.
He was 3rd in the World and 2nd in European Championships in Showcase and was 4th in the World Ballroom Championship.
He also competed successfully in the major competitions all over the world:UK, Japan, China, Korea, Russia, Moldova, Poland, Italy, Austria, Canada, Belgium, Germany, Chech Republic, Romania, Slovakia…

Ruslan owned and operated his dance studios in Kiev, Ukraine.
There, he trained hundreds of children and adults who became Ukrainian champions, placed high in world, European championships and prestigious competitions all over the world.

Carrying this passion to teach, Ruslan came to the United States in 2023 to open Fred Astaire Dance Studios. He is fortunate to have the opportunity to bring his lifelong passion for ballroom dancing to the new Morrisville location. Ruslan is so happy to share his knowledge and experience with you.
