2023  NY/NJ Metropolitan Dancesport Championships

March 9th – 12th

The 2022 NY/NJ Metropolitan Dancesport Championships Competition in The Hilton Hotel in East Brunswick is a very special and thrilling event to participate in! Spectators are also welcome to witness & support their friends & fellow dancers. See your instructor to find out more information!

LaBlast Fitness Ballroom Class every Friday at 7:00pm

LaBlast is a dance-based fitness workout that incorporates elements from several types of dance, including Cha Cha Cha Disco Jive Lindy Hop Merengue Paso Doble Quick Step Salsa Samba The program uniquely fuses fitness routines and movements into dance training. Music is a key component to the classes, using a wide variety of genres ranging from pop, rock, hip hop, country and disco to create a fun, energetic club-like atmosphere. The result is a high-energy experience that makes you want to dance!

Coaching Sessions – Christina Penatello

All of us at Fred Astaire Mt. Kisco are very proud and excited to have in our studio the worldly renowned champion on July  8th. Being a well-recognized coach within the Fred Astaire Dance Studios Organization, Christina Penatello Hansen enjoys sharing her passion and knowledge of dance and business with professionals and amateurs of all ages. With over 30 years of dance experience, she is able to teach the newest dancer as well as the most seasoned, with the greatest of ease. Her ultimate goal is to create excitement and inspiration for every person she associates herself with, throughout their dance journey.

 

Practice Party

Every other Thursday at 8:30pm

The practice party gives you the opportunity to practice and try out all the new dance skills that you’ve learned in your private and group lessons. We welcome you to drop in at any of our practice parties.  Parties are a great way to get to know other students and instructors. We look forward to welcoming you.

Trophy Exams & Trophy Ball Party

We’re excited to announce that Lyall Bradshaw is coming to our studio to give the best feedback to all our students who’s been getting ready for their trophy exam! Ask your instructor for additional information!

The Fred Astaire Trophy Ball is a gala dance event honoring students who “graduate” from one level of their dance program to the next.
Trophy Balls also affords students the opportunity to enjoy dancing in a fun and elegant setting that is sure to leave them eager for the next level of their dance training.

Join us at our “Holiday” – Mini Match with our specially invited Coach and Christina Penatello.
Mini Match is our studio competition where students perform Ballroom and Latin dancing, this event is exclusive and shares all the hard work of students and instructors’ experience at their lessons. Don’t miss one of the most exciting events of the year.

Ilya coaches and choreographs at all levels and styles. He has collaborated in the creation of the Fred Astaire Dance Studio International Latin Syllabus and he is an International & UK rising star. Book your appointment ASAP!

We are very excited to have Olga Bylim in our studio on November 15th.
Olga Bylim is part of the prestigious Fred Astaire Dance Studios International Dance Council, which oversees Different levels of dancing for all students, professionals, and amateurs. We look forward to getting her expertise and feedback.
