Artem Kochubei, born and raised in Ukraine, started studying Latin American dances when he was 8 years old. The same day he was enrolled in dance school, he also began to study music to learn to play the guitar. After graduating High School, Artem decided to commit his life completely to dance and music, and began studying at the University of Culture and Arts in Kherson. There he studied various dance styles such as; Contemporary, Modern, Ballet, Hip Hop, Acrobatic movements & Latin Dance. After graduating from the University of Culture and Arts, Artem began studying at the University of Physical Education and Sports (Faculty of Theory and Methods of Physical Education). Throughout his studies, he worked as a Dance Instructor and Coach at Promenade Dance Club.
Artem became Latin Champion of Ukraine at the age of 15 years old, and then went on to to confirm his status as Champion for 7 years. He is also a Latin Finalist of the prestigious World Championships in Amsterdam (Dutch Open Assen).
Music for Artem is also an integral part of his life. He is the creator of his musical compositions in the styles of Hip Hop, Ballroom, Piano and Guitar solos, Blues, and soundtracks for films.
Artem’s ultimate goal is to become a World Ballroom Dance Legend and forever inscribe his name in the history of Latin American Dance.
He happily joined the Fred Astaire Family in August 2022, and we are so excited to have him share his knowledge and dance expertise with anyone he comes in contact with at the studio.
